Our MarineSABRES colleague Gemma Smith (IECS (International Estuarine and Coastal Specialists Ltd) and University of Hull) is currently conducting research on the challenges and priorities in marine management, so if you are a marine manager (i.e. someone who influences decisions on the marine environment), then your perspectives and input would be greatly appreciated!
As part of this research, Gemma has designed a multi-method study that aims to explore marine manager perspectives for shared understanding and communication of marine management issues and priorities, with an emphasis on ecosystem-based approaches, through the application of systems thinking fundamentals and tools.
The study involves two c components: a Q-sort activity and an expert panel discussion. Respondents may choose to participate in a Q-sort activity (10-15 minutes) and/ or an expert panel session (two 2-hour online sessions).
This Q-sort survey component of this research will allow participants to share their views on various management statements and includes:
Sorting statements on a grid to that reflects personal views. There will be an opportunity for participants to expand on why they chose certain stances.
Demographic questions for the purpose of ensuring all relevant voices are included in the data collection.

Gemma's multi-method approach to capturing marine manager perspectives sounds like a much-needed step toward alignment in our field. I've been https://3dtrellis.com
Your multi-method approach to capturing marine manager perspectives is exactly what we need to bridge the communication gap on shared priorities. I've been using https://stl-viewer.org
Your multi-method approach to surfacing marine managers' perspectives is exactly the kind of structured dialogue our field needs—I've been using similar frameworks in my own coastal zone planning and would love to contribute. https://aiphotoonline.com
The multi-method approach really addresses the communication gaps I've seen in marine management. I've been using structured stakeholder frameworks like this to align priorities across teams. https://gputomine.com
Your multi-method approach to mapping marine manager perspectives is exactly the kind of rigorous framework we need to bridge those communication gaps. I'd love to help share this with my network — I've been looking for exactly this kind of actionable insight. https://aivideomemegenerator.com
